What is an Anti-Fatigue Lens?
Anti-FatigueLenses are lenses that are made with a slight and subtle addition within your lens to assist with near vision work. An anti-fatigue lens will help to relieve any eye fatigue symptoms such as headaches, eye strain and blurred vision.
The upper part of an anti-fatigue lens will correct your distance vision whilst the lower part of the lens will have a small change in power to reduce the symptoms of eye strain and fatigue.
Who Needs an Anti-Fatigue Lens?
If you’re a person who spends a lot of time working in front of a computer or television or any digital device or spend large amounts of time doing near work during your day, an anti-fatigue lens may make a significant difference to you.
Optometrists usually fit students, writers, administrators, and people who read or use their screens for most of their day into an anti-fatigue lens.
These days most of our day to day work involves extended amounts of time spent reading and viewing computer screens. These lengthy periods of reading and screen time mean that the muscles in our eyes are constantly working. Over time, this can result in the eye muscles going into a spasm. This manifests as your eyes feeling tired and fatigued, headaches and blurry vision after a day of work or studying.

If you often suffer from eye strain, headaches, blurry vision or just feel tired after a day of work and reading, anti-fatigue lenses may be a good option for you.
