Optical Alliance Covid-19 2020 relief donation

The Optical Alliance social responsibility fund is a joint effort between our family of participating preferred suppliers, our members and Optical Alliance. As part of Optical Alliance’s response to the CoVid 19 pandemic in South Africa, we have decided to use our social responsibility fund to make a difference to our people.

Optical Alliance firmly believes that sustainability is important for growth and progress for everyone. Social responsibility has always been a cornerstone of the Optical Alliance model. One of our core values is to consistently aspire to respect, protect, enhance and return value – not only to our members but to the society we live in.

Times such as these are when we are required to not only be leading examples, but also to act with sincerity and compassion. We have thus far donated from our Optical Alliance social responsibility fund to the following organizations:

Caring Sisters Network

Maria Klopper’s Childrens Home

Al-Imdaad Foundation

Coalition of Anglican Childrens Homes (COACH)

As health care practitioners, we always encourage conscious and responsible behaviour regarding health. As our country and the rest of the world charters unprecedented territories in this regard, the outcome from this cannot yet be established. There may very well be a greater need for donations and assistance in various ways in the weeks and months to come. With that in mind, Optical Alliance intends doing further donations as the need arises.
